Paul "Mickey" Zuber, 99, of Van Buren passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in Fort Smith. He was born Dec. 14, 1916, in Van Buren to the late Lee and Lillie Zuber. He was retired from Whirlpool and the U.S. Air Force after having served for 21½ years, including tours in both World War II and Korea. He played football and ran track for the University of Arkansas and held the long-jump record for about 25 years. He taught R.O.T.C. at Texas Christian University and attended First Baptist Churc

Lois Frances Bassham, (Granny B to her grandkids), 101, of Mountainburg passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, in a local nursing home. She was a retired teacher, a member, elder and deacon of Mountainburg Presbyterian Church, past matron of Chapter 194 Order of the Eastern Star and a member of National Teachers Association and Arkansas Retired Teachers.
