Carl Kastenbaum, 88, of Fort Smith passed away Saturday, June 25, at Methodist Health and Rehab in Fort Smith. He was born in Austin, Texas, on Oct. 2 1927. Mr. Kastenbaum was the son of the late Emanuel Kastenbaum and Anna Burstyn Kastenbaum. Mr. Kastenbaum enlisted in the U.S. Army in Dec. 1948, and served in active combat duty in both Korea and Vietnam, as well as occupation duty in Japan and Korea. After nearly 23 years of honorable service, he retired as a U.S. Army major in July 1971. Subs

Kelly Ann Scoggins Hearn, 38, of Shawnee, Okla., died Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Shawnee. She was born Aug. 23, 1977, in Del Rio, Texas, to Gary Lee and Mary Ellen Conway Scoggins.
