    A company director who turned a blind eye as his colleagues paid bribes for contracts at the Royal palaces was spared jail after a judge accepted he had been 'broken' by the case.
    Bernard Gackowski formed Melton Power Services (MPS) in 1990 with Stephen Thompson, but Southwark Crown Court heard he was bulled by Thompson, who was jailed for 18 months last year.Gackowski, of Widmerpool Hall, Keyworth, admitted conspiring to make corrupt payments last month before the case was adjourned for reports
