    Nottinghamshire Ladies have lost their second leading England player following relegation last summer. All-rounder Jenny Gunn has decided to join Warwickshire to retain her international place, due to a selection practice which states players must ply their trade in the top tier. Gunn, daughter of former Nottingham Forest player Bryn Gunn, follows all-rounder Danielle Wyatt out of the club after she joined Sussex.

    An eagle-eyed member of the public spotted an illegal fly-tipper and helped to snare him. David Moore, of Whaley Bridge Close, Forest Town, Mansfield, was hauled before magistrates after he was caught dumping white bags of rubbish on Bungalow Lane, in Bilsthorpe. The 65-year-old was seen tipping the bags which contained gravel, soil and rubble as well as broken pieces of fence panel and fence posts.
