Nottingham Post published 'We got the win we deserved', says Notts County boss Mark Cooper
When Mark Cooper delivered a brutal assessment of Notts County's defending in the aftermath of defeat to Portsmouth on Good Friday, he must have wondered what kind of response he would get. Sometimes a public dressing down can backfire, but in this case it inspired as since then his team has gone three games without defeat. A 1-0 victory over Stevenage was the first since he was appointed, but it merely underlined the positive steps the Magpies are taking under his leadership. It was a... -
Nottingham Post published Nottingham Forest defender Eric Lichaj says hard work can help...
Eric Lichaj believes simple hard work can help Nottingham Forest end their dismal run of form in the Championship – and bounce back to winning ways. The Reds have slipped to 20th in the table, ahead of the visit of promotion-chasing Brighton to the City Ground, following a run of eight defeats in their last 10 games. Lichaj says every single member of the squad is working hard to address their slide – and believes that is the key to getting back to the kind of form that saw them... -

Opening day centurion Steven Mullaney is confident Nottinghamshire can press on against Surrey, after revealing his team were happy to bat first. Surrey made use of new ECB regulations by exercising their right to bowl without the need for a coin toss. However, Notts were unfazed as they raced to 446 all out, scoring at 4.86 an over, before the visitors closed on seven without loss in the County Championship game. Mullaney, who hit 113, said: "I think if there was a toss we were going... -
