Traffic has come to a standstill in Ilkeston after a crash between a car and a van.Police were called to Nottingham Road at 1.40pm on Thursday after the collision between a Volvo V40 and a Ford Transit. A spokesman from the Derbyshire force said there were no injuries, but officers were on the scene to help with traffic control.The fire service was also on its way to move the vehicles from the road. -

Gusts are now expected to hit the county on Friday. The Met Office says that some travel disruption is likely, with localised problems for high-sided vehicles on prone routes.
