Newark has been hit by large traffic delays after a lorry broke down in the town. The airbrake switch on a lorry, which was carrying railway components from Immingham to the other side of Newark, snapped and brought it to a halt in Beaumond Cross. It came to rest outside the Robin Hood Hotel cottage, which is now derelict, at around 11am. Police are on the scene to assist with traffic flow but said the lorry could be stranded for a while longer.
