Police arrested a 56-year-old man after the blaze broke out at the three-floored property, in Derby Grove, off Derby Road, at around 12.45pm.A man in his 40s was evacuated from the home by firefighters and was taken to Queen's Medical Centre on Sunday with life threatening injuries.But Nottinghamshire Police has now confirmed he has passed away.     An elderly man suffered a head injury after a two-car crash on Fox Road in West Bridgford shortly before 12.30pm.Police had closed the road off for over an hour as firefighters worked to free the man from the wreckage.Radcliffe Road was closed at the junction with Colwick Road, while Fox Road was closed at the junction of Hound Road.Alex Jeffery, who works in the council building overlooking the crash, said: "Firefighters cut the roof off the car and rescued somebody. It was quite dramatic.
