An elderly man suffered a head injury after a two-car crash on Fox Road in West Bridgford shortly before 12.30pm.Police had closed the road off for over an hour as firefighters worked to free the man from the wreckage.Radcliffe Road was closed at the junction with Colwick Road, while Fox Road was closed at the junction of Hound Road.Alex Jeffery, who works in the council building overlooking the crash, said: "Firefighters cut the roof off the car and rescued somebody.
