DFS expects to hit a profit, before tax, of £45 million, as the furniture retailer issued a trading update for the year ending 28 June.

TikTok Shop beauty sales soar 60% as platform delivers £10bn UK boost
TikTok Shop has become the UK’s fourth-largest beauty retailer, after category sales surged 60 per cent last year.
This dramatic increase in sales is according to new research examining the platform’s impact on the British economy.
The report, produced by consultancy Public First and commissioned by TikTok, estimated that activity supported by the social media platform generated at least £10bn in gross value added during 2025 and sustained 153,000 jobs.

Dunelm has posted a rise in quarterly sales after strong demand for its summer ranges helped offset a drop in store footfall during June’s extreme heat.

Uber launches €13bn Delivery Hero takeover in global delivery land grab
Uber has launched a €13bn (£11.3bn) takeover bid for Delivery Hero as it looks to dramatically expand its food delivery and rapid grocery operations around the world.
The Uber Eats owner has offered Delivery Hero investors €41.50 in cash for each share, valuing the Berlin-based company at around $14.8bn.
The offer represents a 33.8 per cent premium to Delivery Hero’s three-month average share price before the announcement.

Magnet begins 15-store cull as major restructuring takes place
Magnet has closed the first of 15 underperforming showrooms as it pushes ahead with a major restructuring of its store estate.

Frasers Group has withheld its profit guidance for the year ahead as its multibillion-pound pursuit of Hugo Boss and Accent Group creates uncertainty over its financial outlook.

Burberry shareholders have approved a new executive pay policy that could hand chief executive Joshua Schulman a package worth more than £12m, despite a sizeable investor rebellion.
