Pret sales rise as CEO cites ‘encouraging’ start to year
Pret A Manger has reported a strong start to 2026, with a rise in customer visits and store estate expansion driving sales.
For the first four months of 2026, the food-to-go giant’s sales rose 7% globally and 8% in the UK, following its 2025 full-year system sales and operating profit hitting £1.2bn and £37m, respectively.
Pret cited part of this growth to its expanding store estate, which has grown to over 750 shops across 21 countries, a 5% increase year-on-year.

Retail sales rebound as warm weather lifts May spending
UK retail sales rebounded in May as warm weather and the early bank holiday drove demand for summer clothing, outdoor goods and food.
