John Lewis Partnership has appointed former Asos head of buying Rachel Morgans to the role of fashion director.
Morgans, who previously served as the buying director for Topshop at Asos, will assume the role in June, reporting to commercial director Kathleen Mitchell, Drapers reports.
As part of her role, she will oversee the retailer’s curation of in-house and third-party brands.

Asda: Zuber Issa sells stake as TDR becomes majority owner
Asda co-owner Zuber Issa has sold his stake in the supermarket chain to co-owner TDR Capital, as the private equity firm becomes the majority owner.
The deal, which will complete later this year, brings the ownership of Asda to 67.5% by TDR Capital, 22.5% by Mohsin Issa, and 10% by Walmart.
