AO World posts record profit as sales boosted by discounts and range expansion
AO World has posted a record adjusted pre-tax profit for its 2026 financial year, as expanded product ranges and discounts helped boost sales.
The electricals retailer, which sells products including TVs, washing machines and mobile phones, said adjusted pre-tax profit rose 16 per cent to £50.5m in the year to 31 March 2026.
The figure was broadly in line with company-compiled analyst estimates of £50m.

Dr Martens boss buys £85k of shares after profit jump
Dr Martens chief executive Ije Nwokorie has bought more than £85,000 worth of shares in the footwear brand following its recent profit uplift.
A London Stock Exchange filing showed Nwokorie purchased 112,500 ordinary shares last Friday at 76.1p each, taking the total value of the transaction to around £85,600.

Aldi is opening 16 new stores over the coming months as part of its continued investment in expanding its footprint across the UK.
