The long(ish) running campaign from EE featuring Kevin Bacon continues to thunder along with the Hollywood star continuing to prove his comedy chops and showing no sign of embarrassment.
This time however he is joined by Pop sensation Britney Spears (who has a new album on the horizon). The odd pairing aims to promote the mobile operator's offer of six months' access to Apple Music, and continues a string of celebrity tie-ups including former footballer Rio Ferdinand and Stephen Fry

Twitter preps keyword filter to protect users from abusive tweets
Twitter is prepping a keyword-based tool that will shield its users from abusive tweets.
Bloomberg reports that the micro-blogging site has been working on the feature for around a year as it looks to find a technological solution to abuse on the site. The feature is compared to the one recently introduced by Instagram, though where that one removes messages deemed offensive, Twitter’s effort is more like an expansion of its ‘mute’ feature, which lets people avoid seeing tweets -
Amazon tests 30-hour work weeks for certain teams
Amazon is reportedly to launch a pilot that will experiment with a 30-hour work week for certain teams.
The Washington Post reports that the program will cover “a few dozen” of the retailer’s human resources team, who will earn 75 per cent of what their full-time counterparts earn. Currently, the business employs part-time staff who share the same benefits as full-time workers, though the pilot program would differ in that it would be the first time an entire team works reduced -

Vogue Brazil under fire for turning models into amputees to trumpet Rio 2016 Paralympics
A Vogue Brazil campaign to boost interest in the upcoming Paralympic Games has come under fire for altering images of able-bodied models to give them disabilities.
The advert featured Brazilian actors Cleo Pires and Paulo Vilhena under the strapline “We are all Paralympians”. Both were photoshopped to feature the disabilities of Pralympic table tennis player Bruna Alexandre, who had her right arm amputated when she was just three months old and sitting volleyball player Renato Leite, -
Facebook’s trending content to now be algorithmically generated
Facebook will no longer task editors to write descriptions for posts in its Trending section, which was mired in controversy earlier this year over allegations of political bias.
Topics that appear in the section will now be shown as short, algorithmically selected posts alongside the number of people talking about it, the social network revealed in a blog post. Human editors will no longer play a role in picking the topics featured other than for verifying quality.
The decision to reduce human -
Spotify slams report it is punishing artists who have exclusive deals with Apple Music
It might not like artists having exclusive deals with its rivals but Spotify does not punish them by making them harder to find in its library, it has argued following a report that claimed it did.
The defense follows a report that claimed the business supposedly punishes those artists who have exclusive deals with the likes of Apple Music or Tidal. It’s been going on for around a year, though it has escalated in recent months, the report added.
However, Spotify told Recode the claim -
UK data privacy regulator to track WhatsApp’s data sharing with Facebook
The UK’s data privacy regulator will monitor how the mobile messaging app WhatsApp shares data with parent business Facebook following an update to its privacy policy.
The Information Commission’s Officer (ICO) aims to ensure that WhatsApp is being transparent about what and how its users' data are shared, observing that new policy would likely split opinion among them. Under the new policy, the phone numbers of the more than one billion users of the app will be shared with Facebook, -
