ALLEN GRAVES TORONTO RAPTOR – Pick Reaction & Analysis w/ scout
    From Brendan’s piece:
“The college profiles of Collin Murray-Boyles, Ja’Kobe Walter, Gradey Dick, and Scottie Barnes suggest the Raptors scouts are shifting towards more analytics-friendly prospects in recent years, and Graves would continue that trend. On the defensive end, Graves can immediately slot in as yet another productive defensive forward for the Raptors. I really feel like his cohesion with CMB would work well, with CMB being tasked with guarding faster players and wi

The Raptors are betting on strengths, not solving weaknesses, in drafting Allen Graves
In general, number-19 picks in NBA drafts do not usually end up hitting in the NBA. It’s rare that teams find stars at 19, let alone starters. And the Toronto Raptors likely leaned into that in their selection of the near-20-year-old Allen Graves at 19 in the 2026 NBA Draft.
Graves is six-foot-eight with a seven-foot wingspan. He averaged 11.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game while also adding 1.9 steals and 0.9 blocks in 35 games. He did that in 22.6 minutes per game.Brendan

The Toronto Raptors have selected Allen Graves with the 19th pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.A redshirt freshman at Santa Clara, he averaged 11.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists, while also putting up 1.9 steals and 0.9 blocks in 35 games. In terms of measurements, he came in at 6-foot-9 inches tall, weighed 226 pounds, and had a 7-foot wingspan. With the Santa Clara Broncos, Graves played more of a 3&D role, shooting 41.3% from three and 51.2% from the field. The following is part of Raptors Republic’s series of pieces reviewing the season for the Toronto Raptors. You can find all the pieces in the series here. What does the peak of the curve look like? Toronto having the same championship vibe as 2019? The city uniting like it did in last year’s World Series run?
Or is the peak mean being a consistently competitive team?

Myles Turner may have just become a whole lot more interesting for the Toronto Raptors. The Miami Heat’s blockbuster trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo is going to grab all the headlines, but the move could have a ripple effect in Milwaukee. With the Bucks moving on from the face of their franchise, there’s a growing sense that more changes could be coming. If Milwaukee decides to keep reshaping its roster, Turner is a player the Raptors should be keeping a close eye on. Well, that’s not ideal…Just when it felt like the Raptors had a chance to climb the Eastern Conference standings next season, the Miami Heat went out and got Giannis Antetokounmpo. That’s right, the Greek Freak is heading to South Beach. According to Shams Charania of ESPN, the Heat have acquired the two-time MVP from the Milwaukee Bucks late Monday night in a blockbuster deal that immediately changes the outlook of the conference. With the NBA draft kicking off later today, and since I’ve been taking a trip down memory lane with my new weekly trade tree series, it seemed like a fun idea to look back on the past 10 Raptors drafts and rank the best 10 picks from 2015-2025.For a piece like this, it’s no fun if we just rank the players themselves, that’s too obvious and defeats the purpose. Instead, rankings will take into account the quality of the player, but also factors in where they were drafted. So, ju

A reunion between Chris Boucher and the Toronto Raptors could make a lot more sense this summer than it did a year ago. When Boucher left Toronto for the Boston Celtics last offseason, it marked the end of an era for the Raptors. He was the last remaining member of the team’s 2019 championship roster and one of the longest-tenured players in the organization. It stung to see a fan favourite leave for a rival but as we all know, his time in Boston, didn’t last very long. The jittery, sharpshooting guard provided meaningful moments, both with game-deciding shots and promising progress in his play. The former was fun and triumphant, and while the latter still leaves questions when it comes to Quickley’s current role as the team’s lead guard, it provided significant intrigue.  Then, when it came time to test the true core of Quickley’s game in the unforgiving elements of the NBA playoffs, injury struck.
