    Nonprofit Fly Brave Foundation held their first art show fundraiser Saturday afternoon at New Helvetia Brewing Company in Sacramento.Guests had the opportunity to enjoy some local brews, buy artwork from the artists themselves.

  • PG&E May Shut Off Your Power This Weekend As A Safety Precaution

    SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — With red flag conditions creating a great fire danger across northern California, PG&E announced Saturday might that they may turn off the power for safety in portions of 12 counties within the next 24 hours.
    The Public Safety Power Shutoff is a program that the utility announced earlier this year to protect areas from potential fire danger. This is the first time PG&E is implementing the program over a wide area.

    CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) — Jay Green Jr. ran for 107 yards and two touchdowns, and Southern Utah won its first game of the season with a 48-27 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday night.

    PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — In a team effort, a group in Lincoln constructed a new playground Saturday.Neighbors say it will positively impact the community. Hundreds of volunteers at Creekside Oaks Elementary School in Lincoln banded together to build the new playground.

    CALAVERAS COUNTY (CBS13) — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office announced that their Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET) seized over 1,300 pounds of processed marijuana and almost 400 marijuana plants from illegal grows Thursday.

    RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) — One man is dead after a shooting this morning in Rancho Cordova, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Sergeant Zach Hatch.
