  SACRAMENTO, Calif. (CBS/AP) — The man accused of murdering his two children, wife and his wife’s niece, will go before a judge today.
  Salvador Vasquez Oliva was arrested in San Francisco, hours after the bodies of four people were found in a quiet Sacramento neighborhood last week.
  He is scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m.

• Lost Dog Rescued From Shaft In Tuolumne County

  COLUMBIA, Calif. – (CBS13) – Rescuers were able to save a lost dog from a 40-foot vertical shaft in Tuolumne County on Sunday, thanks to a curious hiker.
  Just after 7 p.m., someone walking along a trail on the Columbia College campus noticed a hole in the ground. When they went over and looked inside, they saw it was a shaft, and about 40 feet down, they saw a dog, according to a statement from the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Department.

• Police Searching For Elk Grove Bank Robber

  ELK GROVE (CBS13) – Police are searching for the man who robbed a bank over the weekend in Elk Grove.
  Officials say a man walked into the Chase Bank on Elk Grove Boulevard around 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon and gave the teller a note demanding money. He took an undisclosed amount of cash and left.
  He is described as a white man around 50-years-old, 210 pounds, and 5 foot 8 inches tall.

  DIAMOND SPRINGS (CBS13) – A man was arrested on Sunday after he allegedly pulled out a knife and threatened people with it inside a Diamond Springs business.
  The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office shared a photo of deputies arresting the man

  The building is near the intersection of San Pablo and Mead avenue, according to fire officials.

  SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – A head-on crash on Jackson Highway in Sacramento County has claimed the lives of a mother and her child and left an infant in critical condition.
  The crash happed around 3 a.m. on Jackson Highway (Highway 16) near Mayhew Road. A CHP spokesperson says an Elk Grove woman and her two children were driving in a Honda Civic eastbound on Jackson Highway, when, for some reason, the woman veered into the westbound lane.   LOS ANGELES (AP) — Willie Cauley-Stein made a follow shot with two seconds left and the Sacramento Kings rallied from an 18-point, fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Los Angeles Clippers 98-97 on Sunday.
