  SACRAMENTO (CBS13)  – The city of Sacramento will continue its free holiday parking program this holiday season to attract more shoppers to the downtown area.
  Free parking started Friday, and will continue through Christmas day. This only applies to metered parking zones.
  Drivers can also use the East End Garage for a $2 rate.
  All other parking zones in the area will cost the regular fees.

• CHP Officer Rescues Pig Wandering Along Highway In Sonoma County

  SONOMA COUNTY (CBS13) – A CHP officer near Santa Rosa rescued a pig that was wandering along the Highway.According to CBS5 in San Francisco, Officer Ken Enger spotted the pig along highway 12 near Merced Avenue Friday morning after being told the animal was on the loose.
  “He was sleeping in the sun, on the right shoulder, relaxing,” Enger said.
  The pig weighs between 600-800 pounds.Sonoma County Animal Services is searching for the animal’s owner.

  TRACY (CBS13) – A Tracy farm has been linked to an E. coli outbreak at Costco stores.
  Taylor Farms Pacific recalled their celery products linked to the outbreak on Thursday. The link was made after the Montana Department of Public Health found a diced celery blend tested positive for E. coli.
  The same product was used in a Costco chicken salad linked to a multi-state outbreak. So far, five people have been hospitalized and two developed kidney failure.

• Garage Catches Fire At Modesto Home

  MODESTO (CBS13) – Firefighters responded to the call of a fire at a garage in Modesto Friday night.
  The fire caused extensive damage to the detached garage at the home on Laurel Avenue. When crews arrived, they found much of the structure in flames. They were able to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures, according to a fire department statement.

  CARMICHAEL (CBS13) – Authorities have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with a murder of a Yuba County woman.
  Around 2:50 p.m. Friday, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department detectives and negotiators went to a home in the 5300 block of Gibbons Drive in Carmichael where they arrested a fugitive, 25-year-old Jonnyrae Witt, without a struggle, according to sheriff’s department spokesperson Deputy Tony Turnbull.
