    KOSCIUSKO, Miss.–Just before 1 p.m. Saturday, Attala County deputies and emergency workers were called to Hwy. 19 south where some heavy equipment ended up in a pond.
    According to the caller, a bush hog slid off of a trailer and into a pond, across from Century Heating and Cooling.
    Dispatchers were told that no one was hurt. But, a wrecker would be needed to get the equipment out of the pond.

    This part of central Mississippi remains under a heat advisory until 9 pm tonight.  The extreme heat warning has been expanded, and in the local area, will now include Holmes and Carroll counties on Tuesday.  The rest of the area will be back under a heat advisory Tuesday.

    The dangerously hot weather we’re experiencing in the local area this weekend will only get worse during the upcoming work week.  A heat advisory is posted from 11 am today through 9 pm Monday with an extreme heat warning to the northwest.  The advisory is likely to be extended through midweek and the warning could be expanded into other parts of the state.
