    The National Weather Service has cancelled the flood watch that had included much of the local area today.  It says there’s no longer a threat of heavy rain which could cause flooding.
    But a large part of Mississippi, including this area, has been placed under a Level-1 “marginal” risk of isolated severe storms with damaging wind gusts on Monday.

    A larger part of the local area will be under a flood watch today as a cold front helps to trigger showers and thunderstorms.  The watch, in effect through 7 pm, includes Attala, Holmes, Leake, Neshoba, Winston and Choctaw counties.
