  A gifted athlete, Cathy attended the University of Alabama on a tennis scholarship, earning her BA there before going on to earn a Ph. D. in English Literature at Cornell University.   The Lady Flyers won the Woodford County Invitational Tournament on Saturday and went 5-0. They did not drop a single set and beat Thomas Nelson, Bryan Station, Boyle County, John Hardin and Thomas Nelson again in the final.
