    Denver 4/20 rally organizers receive 3-year ban after event left Civic Center Park trashed
    Denver Mayor Michael Hancock’s administration banned the organizer of this year’s 4/20 rally from hosting the event for three years citing a series of violations at the marijuana celebration.
    In a letter released Saturday, the administration identified “substantial violations of city requirements” after conducting a review of the 2017 event and imposed $11,965 in fines and $190 in damages in addition to the temporary ban. The concerns listed included trash and security.

    LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Badly damaged by last week’s hail storm, the Colorado Mills Mall says they won’t reopen until the holiday shopping season.
    The Target store in the area was open after the storm but closed Friday because of an electrical issue.
    It’s been 11 days since water came cascading into the mall leaving puddles around merchandise. Dumpsters, power generators, and storage containers are everywhere scattered throughout the parking lots.

    DENVER (CBS4) – The annual Denver 4/20 rally will not happen for at least the next three years at Civic Center Park after Denver Parks and Recreation announced violations.

    A pedestrian has been seriously injured after being hit by a car near the Cherry Creek Shopping Center and Cherry Creek Park around 12:40 p.m. Saturday.
    Denver police are currently documenting the scene and warned drivers to expect delays in the area, spokesman Tyrone Campbell said. No streets have been closed.

    DENVER (AP) – Police say a Colorado man without a medical license has been arrested after he allegedly used an Army surgical kit to castrate a transgender woman at her Denver apartment.
    A police affidavit says James Lowell Pennington, 57, removed the testicles and sutured the opening while the woman’s wife witnessed the 90-minute procedure.
    The wife called 911 about three hours later when blood poured from the incision.
