    Wildlife Center Closing Due To Ill Owner, Refuge Steps In To Take Over
    CALHAN, Colo. (CBS4) – A zoo in El Paso County is closing and a wildlife refuge in Arkansas is now stepping in to take care of the animals.

    The Serenity Springs Wildlife Center is located in the town Calhan. The owner is sick and can no longer take care of the animals.The Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge has purchased the center and plans to keep about 32 cats. It will find new homes for all the other animals.

    Freeman Fire Near Ruedi Reservoir 15 Percent Contained
    EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Freeman Fire burning in Eagle County on Sunday is now considered 15 percent contained.
    No structures were threatened.
    The fire has burned nearly 300 acres as of Sunday morning.

    The fire was reported about 3 p.m. Saturday and the campground at the east end of Ruedi Reservoir was voluntarily evacuated. Homes in the area received a pre-evacuation notice as a precaution
