    DENVER (CBS4/The Sports Xchange) – The Kansas City Chiefs struck first with a touchdown after Peyton Manning threw an interception on the Broncos’ first drive.
    Manning was looking to break Brett Favre’s record for the most passing yards in NFL history on his first pass of the game but was picked off.
    On the Broncos second possession Manning fumbled but the Broncos got the ball back and Manning completed a 4-yard pass to break the record.

    DENVER (AP) – The Colorado Avalanche claimed forward Chris Wagner off waivers from Anaheim.
    To make room on the roster, Colorado placed goaltender Semyon Varlamov on injured reserve with a groin injury. The move is retroactive to Nov. 10.
    Wagner didn’t score in 11 games for the Ducks this season. He was second on the team in hits and fourth in penalty minutes.
    The 24-year-old Wagner was picked in the fifth round by Anaheim in 2010.
