    DENVER (CBS4) – Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has decided against filing charges against a man after a deadly shooting at a home near the intersection of Winona Court and Floyd Avenue last week.
    Just before 2 a.m. last Friday police responded to a call of what they said was a prowler who forced his way into a home. The homeowner, Jason Morrill, told CBS4 that he is a former police officer but declined to discuss the case any further.

    ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK, Colo. (CBS4) – A father and son from Loveland are okay after getting stranded on Longs Peak.
    The man and his 13-year-old son called Rocky Mountain National Park rangers late Sunday night for help. Search and rescue teams found them just before 11 p.m. and helped them to a backcountry shelter near Chasm Lake.

    COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) — A federal study has found that most homes destroyed by the 2012 Waldo Canyon fire in Colorado Springs were ignited by other burning homes.
