  Apartmentlists.com shows many Colorado cities are above the state average price for rent. The median two-bedroom rents for $2,000 in Boulder.

  GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4)– The man who killed an attorney in Lakewood was sentenced on Thursday to life in prison without the possibility of parole plus 334 years.
  A jury convicted Warren Watson in August of first-degree murder in the death of Claudia Miller.

  PAGOSA SPRINGS, Colo. (AP/CBS4) — The identities of two people who were killed after their small plane crashed in a field near Pagosa Springs have been released.
  The Archuleta County Sheriff’s Office says the plane went last Friday morning. Robert “Bobby” Bennett, 70, of Midothian, Texas; and Svitlana Solodovnyk, 53, of the Ukraine were killed.

  GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (AP) – A panhandling ordinance in Grand Junction has been ruled unconstitutional, with a federal judge saying it’s not okay to stop people from asking for money after dark.
  The decision Thursday from U.S. District Judge Christine Arguello means that Grand Junction will be barred from enforcing its 2014 ordinance limiting panhandling.

  FORT CARSON, Colo. (AP) – The Army has identified a Fort Carson soldier who died from injuries suffered during a training accident in California.
  Officials say that 38-year-old Staff Sgt. Christopher Popham died Wednesday, six days after a Stryker vehicle rolled at the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California.

  DENVER (CBS4) – Coloradans are mourning the loss of a man who helped shape Denver’s performing arts scene.
  Donald Seawell, founder of the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, passed away on Wednesday at the age of 103.
  In the 1970s, Seawell’s vision for the complex that currently houses the DCPA took shape. He was aiming to build “the finest performing arts complex in the world,” according to a YouTube video released by the DCPA that pays tribute to his life.
