    SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — With smoke and ash filling the sky from the fast-moving Sand Fire, air quality regulators Saturday issued a smoke advisory for many parts of Los Angeles County that will remain in effect until at least midnight Sunday.
    The South Coast Air Quality Management District issued the advisory for the San Fernando, San Gabriel and Santa Clarita valleys, the San Gabriel Mountains, the Pomona/Walnut Valley and the central Los Angeles area.

    ST. LOUIS (AP) — Matt Adams homered in the 16th inning to lead the Cardinals to a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers on Friday night for St. Louis’ season-best fifth straight victory.
    It was the second consecutive game that the Cardinals won in their final at-bat. They beat the Padres on Thursday after scoring a run in the ninth inning.
