    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) – A soggy afternoon at New Era field didn’t stop MMA rivals Canisius and St. Joe’s from playing in a thrilling championship game.

  • Man dies after his SUV leaves road and strikes home in Buffalo

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo police are investigating a fatal overnight car accident on Fillmore Ave.
    Police say a 37-year-old Buffalo man was driving his SUV north on Fillmore when he left the road and struck a home. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
    Investigators say there is significant damage to the house but the occupants inside were not injured.
    Investigators say the cause of the accident remains under investigation.

    SALAMANCA, N.Y. (WIVB)- A missing child alert for 2 Salamanca children was activated Saturday morning.
    Police were searching for the mother of 29-day-old Londyn Richardson and the mother of 3-month-old Malani Ventura. They believed the children were in danger.
    Salamanca Police tell News 4 that the mothers, Keshauna Boggs and Selena Ventura were located and are currently in New York City.
    Londyn and Malani were not harmed. Charges are unknown at this time.

  • Buffalo Police investigating two early morning shootings

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo Police are investigating two early morning shootings.
    The first one happened on the 600 block of Moselle Street around 3:15 Saturday morning.
    Buffalo Police say a man, 20, was hit by gunfire and taken to ECMC and taken into surgery.
    The second shooting happened on the 200 block of Rounds Avenue just before 4 Saturday morning.

    Joey and Frankie Scinta are Buffalo natives, but have been a staple of the Las Vegas music and entertainment scene for years. On Facebook Friday night, Frankie Scinta put on his scheduled performance, saying Joey would have wanted the show to go on.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Leading 32-27 and with Tioga marching down the field on a potential game-winning drive, the Maple Grove defense stood tall, forced a fumble and recovered to secure a 32-27 win to advance to the Class D championship on Friday.
