    Vans Warped Tour announced on its website Wednesday that 2018 will be the final full cross-country run for the tour, which started in 1995, and became known as “Vans Warped Tour” in 1996.

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB)- Christopher Kaufmann and his boss Mark Pinnavaia say they’re no heroes, despite being hailed as such by the Cheektowaga Police Department.
    They heard a loud noise coming from outside their job at Daryll’s Car Audio in Cheektowaga Tuesday afternoon.
    “At first I kind of thought it was a tire blowing, it was just a loud pop. And then by like the third one I realized what it was,” Kaufmann told News 4.

  • Up to $1,000 reward offered for info on man wanted in Cheektowaga murder

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Up to a $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted for murder by the Cheektowaga Police Department.
    Shawntario Boyette, 47, is wanted on charges of second degree murder. He has been indicted in the Aug. 21 murder of Diona McCall at 33 Sierra Drive in Cheektowaga.
    Boyette is described as 6’1″ and 330 lbs.

    WOONSOCKET, R.I. (WIVB) — A system interruption at CVS stores across the nation caused problems for people picking up prescriptions.

    ALBANY, N.Y. (WIVB) — The state’s Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is reminding hunters about proper game management.
    The DEC says that hunters who take bears, deer or turkeys must report their harvest.
    In addition to that, hunters or trappers who take a bobcat, fisher, marten or otter must have the animal pelt-sealed by DEC staff.

    (AP) — Papa John’s apologized Tuesday night for comments made by CEO John Schnatter blaming sluggish pizza sales on NFL players kneeling during the national anthem.

    (CBS) — In a major update about an ongoing CBS News investigation into reports of carbon monoxide seeping into Ford Explorers, the automaker is now offering free repairs.

  • Wyoming County man charged with stealing large industrial tools from neighbor’s garage

    BLISS, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Wyoming County man has been charged with stealing large industrial tools from his neighbor’s garage.
    Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John E. Burau, 29, of Cooley Road Nov. 11 following an investigation.
    Burau was charged with third degree grand larceny, third degree burglary, fourth degree criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property.
    He was arraigned and remanded to Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Clarence doctor returned to federal court Tuesday afternoon to face new charges stemming from his alleged overprescribing of opiates.
    Dr. Eugene Gosy pleaded not guilty to 166 charges listed on the latest indictment filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office last week.
    That indictment claims he caused the death of six patients. If convicted, Gosy faces a minimum of 20 years behind bar and a possible $1 million fine.
