    BUFFALO, N.Y. – (WIVB)  Four people have been charged with distributing cocaine out of a Lovejoy barbershop, across from a public school.
    U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr. announced today that Stevie Alejandro, 31; Cleophus Dentmond a/k/a Face, age 28; Gilbert Guzman, age 48; and Catherine Ramos, age 29, all of Buffalo, NY, were arrested and charged with conspiracy and intent to distribute a controlled substance.

  • Batavia woman dies in Chili crash

    CHILI, NY – (WIVB)  A Batavia woman has died following a two-vehicle collision in Chili Thursday afternoon.
    The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office announced that Diane L. Rebmann, 70, was trapped in her car for nearly 30 minutes before she could be extricated.
    The victim was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and later died from her injuries,
    Rebmann, who was driving westbound on Paul Road making a left turn onto Chestnut Ridge Road when her car was hit by a car travelling east.

    ARCADE, N.Y. (WROC-TV) – A Steuben County man has been arrested and charged with grand larceny following an investigation into a home improvement scam in Wyoming County involving elderly victims.
    Deputies say 43-year-old Howard Pratt, of Canisteo, charged an elderly couple in Arcade $12,000 for home improvements to their attic and chimney. Pratt allegedly did very little work and never returned.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo homicide detectives have been called to the scene of a shooting that reportedly involves a child.
    The shooting occurred at Quincy Street near Broadway and the victim was rushed to ECMC.

    OLEAN, NY –  (WIVB)       The city of Olean may have a firebug on their hands.

  • Utility companies could be fined millions for wind storm response

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – A report from the state Public Service Commission (PSC) says New York State Gas & Electric Corporation (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation (RG&E) could face millions of dollars in fines for their response to a powerful wind storm that swept through Western New York in March.
