  • Man charged with sexually abusing six-year-old in Genesee County

    STAFFORD, N.Y. (WIVB) – A 24-year-old Genesee County man has been charged with having sexual contact with a six-year-old victim.
    Genesee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Colin Wickings, 24, of Bergen on Thursday evening and charged him with first degree sexual abuse.
    The alleged incident took place on Godfrey’s Pond Road in Stafford on Sept. 18.
    Wicking was arraigned in Stafford Town Court and released. He is scheduled to appear in court on a later date.

    READING, Pa. (AP) — Police say they captured a big African cat, resembling a cheetah, running loose through the streets of a small Pennsylvania city.
    Reports about the spotted feline started coming in on Nov. 3. When Reading officers tracked it down, they initially thought they’d found a cheetah.

  • Police: Man threatens to kill wife before going to girlfriend’s home

    TOWN OF NIAGARA, N.Y. (WIVB) — New York State Police have released more information on the shelter in place that was issued in the Town of Niagara on Thursday.
    According to Troopers, Lewiston resident Michael Greaser, 57, threatened to kill his wife and himself at their Saunders Settlement Rd. home. Officials said he displayed a long gun at the time.

    UTICA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — The NYS Department of Corrections is warning residents in the Utica area to look out for a man convicted of first-degree rape who escaped parole.
    66-year-old Ronald Cook was last seen in Rome on Wednesday.
    He appears to have cut off his GPS ankle bracelet. He was wearing a bright yellow windbreaker.

    MALIBU, Calif. — A Malibu church that has helped the homeless for years has been asked to stop feeding people who are down on their luck.

    Snow, rain, wind and cold temperatures are on the way.
    Erie County Department of Highways says they are fully stocked on salt. They have over 20,000 tons of salt in their salt barns, while the City of Buffalo has 7,000 tons of salt on hand.

    The U.S. government on Thursday announced that it would begin paying out $772.5 million to more than 24,000 victims of the Ponzi scheme.
