• Car strikes multiple people near New York’s Penn Station

    NEW YORK — Multiple people have been struck by a vehicle near Pennsylvania Station in New York, the NYPD says.
    A spokesman said the incident appears to have been an accident. The spokesman said the man lost control of the vehicle after an issue with the pedals.
    One man and two women were injured. Their injuries are not life-threatening, the spokesman said.

    NORMAN, Okla. (AP) — An Oklahoma man accused of beheading a co-worker at a food processing plant in 2014 has been convicted of first-degree murder.
    Jurors convicted Alton Nolen on Friday in the death of 54-year-old Coleen Hufford. She was killed in 2014 at the Vaughan Foods plant in suburban Oklahoma City.

    (AP) – A county official in Georgia says one police officer is dead and another wounded after they were shot while approaching a stolen car.
