    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Tyrod Taylor and Tre’Davious White both put rough starts behind them to help power the Bills to a 26 to 16 victory over the Broncos on Sunday.
    With the win, Buffalo improves to 2-1 on the season while Denver dips to 2-1 overall.

  • NY Gov. Cuomo pledges state aid effort for Puerto Rico

    NEW YORK (AP) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is launching a state effort to help Puerto Rico.
    He announced the relief effort on Sunday, after making a visit to the hurricane-ravaged island on Friday. It will encourage residents statewide to donate goods, and raise funds from the business community for organizations in Puerto Rico.
    It will also include efforts from medical professionals to send health care workers to the island and provide support in getting medicine and medical supplies.

  • Gunman opens fire in Nashville church; 1 dead, 7 wounded

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — A masked gunman invaded a Tennessee church Sunday and opened fire, walking silently down the aisle as he shot unsuspecting congregants.     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – One woman was killed and eight people, including the gunman, were injured in what officials are calling a “mass casualty” incident at a church in Antioch Sunday morning.

  • Sabres send 4 players to Rochester

    BUFFALO, NY (WIVB)- The Buffalo Sabres have sent 4 players to the Rochester Americans.
    Forwards Hudson Fasching, Kyle Criscuolo, C.J. Smith and defenseman Brendan Guhle were sent down.
    Fasching has one goal and 2 assists in 17 games with the Sabres.  Guhle saw action in three games for the Sabres last season and was a 2015 draft pick of the team.
    The moves leaver the Sabres with 32 players on their training camp roster (18 forwards, 11 defenseman and 3 goalies).

    (WIVB)- The first game on football Sunday took place at Wembley Stadium in London where the Baltimore Ravens took on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – Buffalo police are investigating a shooting on East LoveJoy and Ideal Streets.
    It happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
    Buffalo Police say one man was struck by gunfire and was taken to ECMC where he was treated for his injuries.
    It’s unclear how severe his injuries are or who was involved.
  • City of Buffalo employee under investigation after stabbing a stranger’s dog

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo family’s dog is back home Saturday night. Police say a city of Buffalo employee stabbed the dog Saturday morning in South Buffalo. The employee, 46-year-old James Craddock, is now under investigation.
    Sources tell News 4 the city is seeking the termination of the employee. The dog’s owners say they’ve been threatened by Craddock before.

  • Part of Thruway shut down as State Police investigate serious crash

    PEMBROKE, N.Y. (WIVB)- State Police are on the scene of a serious crash in the Town of Pembroke.
    Troopers tell us the crash happened around 8:40 p.m. Saturday. A vehicle hit a pedestrian on I-90 westbound in the Town of Pembroke.
    Police say the crash is being reconstructed by the New York State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and is still under investigation. 
    The Thruway Authority put out an alert around 9:00 p.m. that all westbound lanes are blocked around exits 48A and 9.
