    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) – “Marshall” will make its WNY premiere at the North Park Theatre on Hertel Avenue Oct. 7.
    Shot primarily in Buffalo, “Marshall” chronicles the early career of Thurgood Marshall, the first black justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.
    A premiere screening of the film will be held at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at North Park Theatre, 1428 Hertel Avenue. A panel discussion and Q&A will be held after the screening, featuring two of the film’s producers.

    AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Police say a trespasser at an Ohio burial vault business tried unsuccessfully to cremate a corpse.
    Police say the break-in at Akron Burial Vault happened late Tuesday or early Wednesday.
    A body that had been in a cardboard cremation container was found on the floor. Business owner Martin Ebie told WKYC-TV the body toppled out of the container after someone tried to push it into the oven.

  • Arrest made after shooting of 18-year-old woman in Buffalo

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police say an arrest has been made after a teenager was shot multiple times on Donovan Dr. last week.
    The 18-year-old female victim was taken to ECMC after the shooting, which occurred just before 9 p.m. on September 18.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Buffalo police are investigating a Wednesday bank robbery on Main St.
    Police say the robbery happened at the KeyBank branch on the street’s 2400 block, just after Noon.

    TONAWANDA, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in the City of Tonawanda say a truck accident closed off Delton St. for nine hours.
    At 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, a Canadian tractor trailer driver cut a corner too sharply and struck a power pole.

    Kevin Brewster, kitchen manager for the Texas Roadhouse Tonawanda location, said that the restaurant loves to help the community.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB)- Buffalo Police are searching for the two people they believe are responsible for a double shooting. A 23 year old Buffalo man was killed and a 32 year old Buffalo woman critically injured overnight at the corner of Parkdale and Potomac Avenues.
