    (CNN) – Royal Caribbean is using a cruise ship to help evacuate people from Puerto Rico and deliver needed supplies to Caribbean islands.
    The cruise line announced on Tuesday that it is canceling its September 30 Adventure of the Seas trip so it can use the ship to help victims of Hurricane Maria.

    ATTICA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Three inmates at New York prisons were arrested by New York State Police last week for criminal activities that occurred in the prisons.

  • Man accused of multiple thefts from UB dorms

    AMHERST, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 20-year-old has been charged with stealing from dorms at both University at Buffalo campuses.
    Darnell Cleveland is not a UB student, but the school’s police say he is connected to at least seven burglaries in the dorms since the end of July.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A city employee accused of stabbing a dog could be without a job Wednesday morning.
    Sources tell News 4 that James Craddock has been fired.
    Buffalo police say Craddock got out of a city vehicle and stabbed a woman’s dog Saturday morning.
    Craddock worked for the Buffalo City Parks Department, and was working at the time.

    BATHURST, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA (WIVB) — The city council in this eastern Canadian community is relaxing a rule that bans people over age 14 from wearing costumes on Halloween night to Trick or Treat.

  • Northbound North Grand Island Bridge will be closed this weekend

    GRAND ISLAND, N.Y. (WIVB)  – The northbound North Grand Island Bridge will be shut down this weekend to allow crews to work on it.
    The closure will begin this Friday at 8:30 p.m. It is slated to end 6 a.m. Oct. 2 (Monday).
    Until then, all northbound traffic will be shifted to the southbound bridge.

  • Former non-profit employee charged with using organization’s credit card for personal purposes

    JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (WIVB) – A former employee of a Jamestown non-profit has been charged with using a company credit card to make personal purchases while he was employed as a maintenance worker with the organization.
    Joey A. Weise, 37, was charged with official misconduct by Jamestown Police Tuesday morning following an investigation into the matter.

    CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) – New York State Police are looking for a suspect believed to have stolen an estimated $8,200 worth of ink over several visits to BJ’s on Transit Road during August.
    The suspect, described as a black female, went into BJ’s seven times in August, taking ink and then shopping for a small amount of items before exiting the store.
