    BEAUMONT, TEXAS (WIVB) — Several Red Cross volunteers from western New York are working hard Monday and through the week to help people recovering from hurricane Harvey.

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — News 4 went to the scene of a reported shooting at Thatcher and Hutchinson avenues Monday afternoon.
    It is not clear what happened there, but Buffalo police vehicles were seen.

  • Lockport man accused of striking victim with baseball bat

    LOCKPORT, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Lockport man has been charged with hitting someone with a baseball bat.
    Lockport police say Stephen Lewis, 31, struck a victim in the face, breaking their jaw and knocking out some of their teeth.
    The incident happened during an altercation around 9 a.m. Monday on Gabriel Dr., police say. According to them, it happened outside of Lewis’ home.
    The victim was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries. Their condition is not clear.

    ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WIVB) — The Buffalo Bills announced shortly after Noon Monday that Tyrod Taylor has returned to practice.
    The quarterback suffered a concussion when the team played the Baltimore Ravens in their third preseason game.
    Taylor and fellow QB T.J. Yates remain in concussion protocol. It is not clear when Yates was injured.

  • Drug, DWI arrests made during joint road check effort by NYSP, West Seneca police

    BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in West Seneca teamed up with New York State Police on Sunday for a joint DWI road check.

    It happened just before 2:30 a.m. Sunday at Lisbon and Bailey Avenues in Buffalo.
