    ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. — A canine with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office saved a deputy who was fighting with a suspect, CBS Denver reports.
    A sheriff’s deputy responded to a trespassing call around 1 a.m. on Saturday. While on the call, a man the deputy was talking to jumped a fence to get away.

    To celebrate, the Buffalo Zoo is throwing the 400 lbs. gorilla a birthday party- and inviting the community to join.

    TOWN OF CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (WIVB) – A Mayville man was charged with leading Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies in a vehicle pursuit on Friday morning.

  • Sheriff: Man charged with another DWI after fleeing deputies

    CLARENCE, N.Y. (WIVB) — An Alden man is facing a number of charges after Erie County Sheriff’s deputies say he ran from them.
    Friday, Scott Meyer, 23, was pulled over around 2:50 a.m. on Harris Hill Rd. in Clarence.
    During the stop, deputies say Meyer ran away, leading to a foot chase.
    He was found around 45 minutes later and taken into custody.

  • New Hampshire hospital evacuated due to odor

    EXETER, N.H. (WIVB) — Nexstar contributors in Albany say a hospital in New Hampshire is being evacuated after an odor was detected.
    The odor was detected around 11:15 a.m.
    Fire crews were dispatched to a carbon monoxide leak at Exeter Hospital, according to CBS.
    Contributors say people were placed in ambulances. More than 20 patients were evacuated.

    KENMORE, N.Y. (WIVB) — Student researchers are digging up 6-inch deep holes at more than 250 sites in Tonawanda, Kenmore, Grand Island, and parts of Buffalo close to Tonawanda Coke as part of a more than $700,000 study.
