• Disney to pull content from Netflix

    (CNN) – Disney is parting ways with Netflix.
    The company said Tuesday that it will end its partnership with the streaming service in 2019.
     Disney also announced it will launch its own streaming services, and plans to acquire a majority stake in BAMTech, a major streaming and marketing service.

    (CNN) – Cheetos, the snack chip owned by PepsiCo (PEP), is launching a pop-up restaurant in New York City devoted to Cheetos-inspired dishes.

  • No-cost or lower-cost Naloxone to be offered statewide starting Wednesday

    NEW YORK (WIVB) – Beginning Wednesday, New York State will host the first program in the nation to offer no-cost or lower cost naloxone, which can reverse opioid overdoses, at pharmacies statewide.

    ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Walt Disney World has erected a lighthouse sculpture to honor the memory of a 2-year-old Nebraska boy who was killed by an alligator last year at one of its hotels.

    WEST VIRGINIA (WCMH/WVNS) – A minor crash in West Virginia led to the discovery of a child’s body Sunday morning.
    The mother, Erica Newsome, wrecked the car near Route 250 in the Allegheny Mountain area around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, according to West Virginia State Police. Witnesses told troopers they saw the mother try to hide the 11-year-old child’s body over the hillside.

  • Accident causes SUV to land in creek

    CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) — A vehicle was found in a creek on George Urban Blvd. Tuesday morning.
    Authorities say a two-car accident caused the SUV driver to lose control and land in the creek.
    The driver was extricated from the vehicle by fire crews and taken to ECMC.
    The other driver involved in the accident did not need hospital treatment.
    Injuries suffered in the accident do not appear to be serious.
    The SUV was later removed from the creek.

    CASTILE, N.Y. (WIVB) — A camp counselor in Wyoming County has been charged with Sexual Misconduct.
    Previously, New York State Police say Nicholas Maroney, 20, came back to YMCA Genesee/Camp Hough drunk and went to sleep in the wrong cabin.
    Troopers say Maroney was seen leaving the occupied bunk bed of a 7-year-old girl in the morning.
    After this, he was arrested and jailed in Wyoming County without bail.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) –  Niagara Falls emergency crews are on scene at Hyde Park and College Avenue for a vehicle that struck a pole.
    Crews are treating one person.

    NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (WIVB) — Police in Niagara Falls think an elderly man’s medical issue caused him to lose control of his vehicle and crash around 10:30 p.m. on Monday.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — Six inmates have snatched keys from three correctional officers at a maximum security prison in Arkansas and are holding the officers in an area where the prisoners now control the keys and the doors.
