  • Two Fatal Stabbings In Baltimore Sunday

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Two fatal stabbings were reported Sunday in Baltimore.
    According to police, the first was reported around 12:07 p.m. in southwest Baltimore.
    Officers responded to the 2900 block of Brighton Street to investigate the report, when they found a 59-year-old man suffering from stab wounds.
    He was taken to area hospital. but was pronounced dead a short time after his arrival.
    Detectives learned he was involved in an argument with a family member. Police continue to investigate

  • Police Identify Teen Killed In Parkville Shooting

    PARKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — Nineteen-year-old Diamond Reyshann Arca-Jones was fatally shot Saturday night in Parkville.
    According to police, officers responded to the 7800 block of Beverly Avenue near Taylor Avenue around 7:20 p.m. and found Arca-Jones lying in the roadway suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

    (CNN) — A viral video of a police officer hitting a 14-year-old girl during an arrest has caused outrage in a Florida community.
    The video — posted to Instagram on Friday — shows a girl being held down by two officers, one man and one woman. The male officer hits the girl in the side twice as he holds her shorts.

  • Man Dead After Crashing Pickup Into Unoccupied Building

    MECHANICSVILLE, Md. (AP) — Police say a 71-year-old man has died after crashing his pickup truck into an unoccupied building.
    The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office says investigators suspect that Antonio Malaspina of Mechanicsville suffered some kind of medical emergency while driving. His Ford F-150 veered off the roadway early Sunday and slammed into a sign post and telephone pole before hitting a building.
    He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
