  • Heroin Dealer Linked To 9 Fatal Overdoses Given 10-Year Sentence

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A 24-year-old man who authorities say is responsible for nine fatal overdoses, and 18 other overdoses, has been sentenced.
    Karon Elijah Peoples was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for a heroin distribution conspiracy.
    According to a release from the Maryland U.S. Attorney’s Office, Peoples admitted that nine fatal overdose victims and 18 overdose survivors got their heroin from him.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man has died from gunshot injuries, bringing the total death count to three people with nine total people shot Tuesday.
    Police were dispatched to the 1100 block of North Carey Street to investigate a reported shooting.
    When they arrived they found a 52-year-old man with gunshot wounds. A medic was called to take the victim to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

    BALTIMORE CO., Md. (WJZ) — A 46-year-old delivery man was fatally shot Monday night during a robbery attempt.
    Police say Idrissa Derme was killed in the 900 block of Vanderwood Rd. in Catonsville.
