  • Police Seeking To ID Suspect In Aberdeen Stabbing

    ABERDEEN, Md. (WJZ) — A man was stabbed Thursday afternoon, according to Aberdeen police.
    At around 1:57 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the area of Curtis Street and S. Philadelphia Blvd. for a man who had been stabbed.
    The victim, a 32-year-old man, had been stabbed in the upper torso.
    He was taken to a regional Trauma Center by Emergency Medical Services with the Aberdeen Fire Department.

  • Judge Issues Injunction Of Maryland Retirees Drug Dispute

    GREENBELT, Md. (AP) — A federal judge has ruled the state of Maryland can’t force state retirees onto a federal prescription drug plan until a lawsuit is decided.
    U.S. District Judge Peter Messitte issued the ruling this week.
    Four Maryland state retirees filed the lawsuit last month. They contend Maryland can’t force them to enroll in Medicare Part D when open enrollment begins Oct. 15.
    The lawsuit arises from changes made in 2011 to health benefits for state retirees.

    BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Almost exactly a year after re-opening it's doors, Baltimore Clayworks is thriving and now the street it sits on is named after it. It was named “Clayworks Way.” The company had shut down after filing for bankruptcy in July 2017.

    The company had shut down after filing for bankruptcy in July 2017. A renaming ceremony Wednesday honored civic leaders and donors who helped save the business. It also featured summer camper, student and community arts displays, studio and “Welcome to the Clayborhood” exhibitio
