  AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Crews will break ground next week on a permanent supportive housing project spearheaded by the SAFE Alliance.
  "There aren't similar resources in the community, so it truly fills a gap," said Julia Spann, Safe Alliance's CEO. The apartment complex will serve survivors of domestic violence who are experiencing homelessness.

• Nearly 200 pets adopted, fostered from AAC over weekend, but capacity issues persist

Staff said 101 pets left the shelter through foster or adoption over the weekend and another 91 were waiting on a spay or neuter before they too headed out the door.
