    AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A person died at the hospital a day after getting hit by a vehicle on the southbound service road of Ed Bluestein Boulevard last week, according to the Austin Police Department.
    The crash happened shortly before 10 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, in the 7100 block of the Ed Bluestein Boulevard Southbound Service Road.APD said a pedestrian, who was not identified, was hit by a vehicle and transported to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead on Friday, May 24.

    The Austin Police Department said an unidentified pedestrian was killed in the early hours of Saturday, May 25, after they were hit by a sedan and an SUV while crossing the service road in the 9500 block of East US Hwy 290.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A 71-year-old man died a few days after he was involved in a crash in the intersection of South Lamar Boulevard and Barton Skyway, according to the Austin Police Department.
    APD identified the man as Edward Guy Maddox and said he was driving a sedan at the time of the crash, which also involved a pick-up truck. The crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

    LOCKHART, Texas (KXAN) — A Central Texas nonprofit took a major step Wednesday toward its efforts to decriminalize marijuana in the Caldwell County town of Lockhart.Mano Amiga, a nonprofit working in Hays and Caldwell counties, said it collected nearly double the signatures needed to get a marijuana decriminalization measure on the ballot this November.The group needed signatures from 10% of the city’s population, which is, ironically, 420. The group said it collected more than 900.
