• Man shot on Riverside Drive in southeast Austin

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A man in his 30s was shot on East Riverside Drive, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
    Medics were called to the 6200 block of Riverside, near Montopolis Drive, at 4:12 p.m. Monday. Police had parts of the parking lot of a Conoco gas station blocked off with crime scene tape.
    The man has been taken to Dell Seton Medical Center with serious injuries that are not expected to be life-threatening. Austin police say they do not have a suspect in custody.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Constables in Travis and Hays counties tracked down and arrested 44 people who hadn’t paid child support, according to a Monday release from the Texas Attorney General’s Office. In Travis County, 27 parents were arrested, while 17 were arrested in Hays County.

    DALLAS (AP) — Police on Monday were waiting for confirmation that a body found over the weekend was that of a 3-year-old girl who disappeared from her suburban Dallas home earlier this month.
    Sgt. Kevin Perlich, a Richardson police spokesman, said investigators don’t have reason to believe the body found Sunday is not that of Sherin Mathews, but they’re still waiting for the medical examiner’s office to confirm it and to determine a cause of death.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin police released the names of two men killed in separate car-pedestrian collisions in Austin within a week of each other.
