• Student in Round Rock reports man following her to school

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Round Rock Independent School District is increasing security measures after they say a man followed a Brushy Creek Elementary School student while she was walking to school Thursday.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas lost to Oklahoma State, 13-10, in overtime.
    On third and four inside the 10-yard line, Sam Ehlinger threw an interception in the end zone to end the game.

The study finds that people who do not eat breakfast have a 2.4 times greater risk of developing heart disease.   • Police: Man missing in southwest Austin

    AUSTIN(KXAN)– Austin Police are searching for a 32-year-old man who is missing.
    Police say the man, Cody Howard, was last seen around 11 a.m. Saturday at the 9100 block of United Kingdom Drive which is just north of West Slaughter Lane and east of Manchaca Road.
    Police say Howard is 5 foot 4 inches tall,  white and weighing 150 pounds with short dark hair and typically wearing glasses. He is also hearing impaired. Police are concerned for his safety due to possible medical issues.

  • Police find missing 11-year-old girl

    AUSTIN(KXAN)– Austin Police say they have found an 11-year-old girl who went missing at 8 a.m. Saturday.
    Police say the girl, who is autistic, was reported missing from Wildridge Drive between the intersection at Bluffridge Drive and Capital of Texas Hwy, just south of The Arboretum.
    Police say they found her safely less than four hours after she went missing.

    FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Did anyone feel that? It’s not very likely.
    According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a 2.9 magnitude earthquake hit a few miles west of Flatonia on Friday.
    The USGS says the earthquake happened just after 5:10 p.m. and had a depth of about 2 miles.

    LOS ANGELES (KRQE) – Selena Quintanilla is getting her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
    On Nov. 3, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce ceremony will honor the Mexican-American singer who found success with Spanish and English language songs. Many also consider her to be the “Queen of Tejano Music.”

    SAN ANTONIO (KXAN) — H-E-B issued a voluntary recall of some of their Asian Noodle Cups Friday after learning certain soups were made with vegetable products possibly contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
    The beef and chicken H-E-B brand flavors are the only cups affected.
