    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A vehicle hit a young girl in northeast Austin Saturday afternoon, causing critical, life-threatening injuries, said Austin-Travis County EMS. She later died from those injuries, Austin police said.
    It happened in a mobile home park just after 4 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Rundberg Lane east of Interstate 35 and just west of where Cameron Road changes into Dessau Road.

    AUSTIN (KXAN) — A fire involving an 18-wheeler early Saturday morning near the intersection of U.S. 183 and Lake Creek Parkway has shut down lanes for several hours.
    The fire started just before 4:30 a.m. The semi became “fully engulfed” in the fire, according to APD. One man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

    A state appeals court ruled against Utility Associates, which sued the city of Austin to block the $12 million contract with Taser International.
