  During lunchtime at Dimond High School, the action is in the gym.
  The Special Olympics Partners Club takes the floor for hockey, allowing students with and without disabilities to team up.
  “It’s such an important part of our school. It’s not because kids are told to do it, it’s because they want to do it,” said Dimond’s football coach, Nick Winkler, who oversees the program.

  Police have released more information on Sunday’s standoff in downtown Anchorage.
  Just after 7 a.m. Sunday, the Anchorage Police Department received a tip that 47-year-old Noel Ernest See, wanted on an outstanding warrant, was staying at the GuestHouse Inn & Suites near Fifth Avenue and Cordova Street. APD was told See was armed.

  Authorities released the names of a pilot and passenger in a plane crash Friday morning near Metlakatla.
  A wheeled, twin-engine Beech G-18 enroute from Klawock was trying to land at the Ketchikan airport about 8:30 a.m. Friday, Ketchikan Flight Service reported.
  The pilot was Steven Hewitt of Seattle and Grant Hasting of Auburn, Wash., was the passenger.

  A man was arrested after driving the wrong way down the Seward Highway Monday morning, according to a release from the Anchorage Police Department.
  Just after 7:30 a.m., police began receiving calls that a white Subaru Outback was being driven the wrong way down the highway near Huffman Road.
  “As officers began arriving in the area, the suspect driver actively evaded capture and almost hit police vehicles more than once,” the APD release states.

  President Donald Trump has signed a new executive order that temporarily blocks visas from being issued to citizens of six majority-Muslim countries, revoking and replacing a controversial, now-suspended executive order known as the travel ban.
