  The Anchorage Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating two young brothers last seen Saturday afternoon.
  John Dundas, 12, and Robert Dundas, 11, are being reported as runaways and were last seen Saturday around 4 p.m. at their home near Parsons Ave. and N. Lane Street in the Mountain View neighborhood, according to a release from APD.

  Federal engineers will decide whether to allow dredging on part of Gastineau Channel so that barges with deeper drafts can dock south of Salmon Creek.
  The Juneau Empire reports Salmon Creek Development Co. submitted the request to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers earlier in December.
  Joseph Smith filed the application on behalf of the development company, which plans to deepen the barge landing on Channel Drive by as much as 10 additional feet.

  A west Anchorage shooting left one person with “serious, but survivable injuries,” according to the Anchorage Police Department.
