  Two teenagers, at least one a bystander, were hospitalized in critical condition after getting shot in a residential area of Santa Ana on Wednesday, June 5.
  The shooting occurred around 12:15 p.m. on the 900 block of West Bishop Street.
  One teen, believed to be the intended target, was on foot when shot.
  The other teen, an apparent innocent bystander, was inside a home and had no connection to the other victim, said Officer Natalie Garcia, a spokeswoman for Santa Ana police.

  Graduate students who work as teaching and research assistants at UC Irvine went on strike Wednesday, joining similar workers at other University of California campuses who say the UC system has violated their collective bargaining agreement by cracking down on  pro-Palestine encampments.
