Santa Anita and six incomparable horse racing memories
Most, if not all, regular visitors to Santa Anita have their favorite memories of the Great Race Place and the many storied figures that have graced the venue with their presence through the years.
The historic race track has been home to some of the sport’s greatest stars, from equine standouts Seabiscuit, Citation, John Henry and Zenyatta, to horsemen the likes of Bill Shoemaker, Charlie Whittingham, Laffit Pincay and Bob Baffert.

The city of Newport Beach will build a bridge to help pedestrians and bicyclists cross Superior Avenue at West Coast Highway.
But plans for a dog park accompanying the project were recently nixed by the City Council after complaints from nearby residents.
