    Officers dispatched at 4:41 a.m. to the 500 block of East Pine Street found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.
    About ten minutes later, paramedics arrived at the location and pronounced the man dead at the scene, police said. His identity was not immediately available.

    PROVO — It was a bizarre ending to an equally bizarre game.
    BYU made what appeared to be the game-winning interception in overtime to defeat USC 30-27. The students stormed the field, only to be told to return to their seats as officials reviewed whether the game was truly over.
    In the end, the play stood. Corner Dayan Ghanwoloku’s interception was good, and the BYU students stormed the field again as USC (2-1) walked off the field in stunned disbelief.
